Cole at 9 Months

Well it's official ... Cole has now been "out" longer than he was "in".

Some FYI about our 9 month old:

  • Cole is now 22 pounds and 28 1/2 inches
  • He is not mobile but wants to go EVERYWHERE
  • His favourite snack is Cheerios
  • Cole LOVES Baby Einstein and to listen to "his" stereo
  • He has 5 ... almost 6 teeth

First Haircut

Cole got his first haircut on Saturday. His coif was beginning to look like hockey hair, which is just not so cool on a baby.

On Sunday I decided to try and get a picture of his new hairdo since Cole was dressed up so nicely to attend his friend Kaleb's birthday party. Of course there is no way the little munchkin wanted to cooperate, but here are a few pictures I did snap in my attempt. Hey I even tried puppets and a Tickle Me Elmo without success.

Cole At 8 Months

Cole turned 8 months on Sunday. Our little man is definitely growing up. In the last month Cole has gained a mouthful of teeth, began eating Cheerios (or at least the one's he doesn't end up wearing), makes clicking sounds with his tongue, and waves hello and goodbye. He has also began saying "Ma ma" pretty regularly, sometimes intentionally and sometimes not. Don't worry Daddy isn't left out. Today Cole began crying whenever Daddy would leave for work. "Isn't Daddy supposed to stay home and play with me ALL day?" Oh wait ... that's Mommy's job!

Teething, Fruit hating Boy in A Hat

Cole has cut 2 more teeth again - this time the front 2. Unfortunately they aren't through enough to get a good picture yet. What does make a cute picture though is Cole in his "Opa" hat (as Dave like to call it). It was a little bit of a splurge on our trip to Edmonton this past week but well worth the comments praising our son's cuteness.
Cole is changing so fast. In addition to teeth he now pivots on his belly, and shakes his whole body in excitement. He also has learned to grind his new teeth which I would rather not think about (yuuuck).
Cole still loves meal times but I have yet to find a fruit he likes. So far bananas, apples, and pears ... he gags and spits out them all. I tried to be sneaky and mix some with his cereal but his tastebuds are too sensative because he didn't fall for it except for a few bites. I remain optimistic and persistant. One day he'll like them better than peas and squash I'm sure!

7 Months

Well you've heard all about them ... you may have even heard the little guy himself because he was very cranky during the whole process - introducing Cole Alexander Brown's first teeth!

The only difference between toothless Cole and then new version is that he drools more (if you can believe it) and likes to chew on his spoon during meals. Though, that toothy grin sure is cute!

Oh, and by the way. Our "little" guy is now 20 1/2 pounds on his 7 month birthday.

Busy Little Boy

Cole has become a very busy little boy. In the past week he's started putting his feet to his mouth, rolling over frequently, and sitting up all on his own (but not without falling over when he's had enough). Also, today he woke up chatting non stop which is quite unusual for our normally quiet son. Not to mention the two teeth he's cut in the last few days! They grow up so fast!

Day 3

It's day 3 of teething and we're still cranky. Thank goodness for Baby Tylenol.

First Teeth

This morning I noticed a wee bit of white poking through Cole's bottoms gums. After his morning nap and lunch I noticed another tooth poking through next too it. He sure is cranky and VERY drooly (as you can see by this pic), but it exciting to think my baby is accomplishing another first - even if its stressing out mommy and daddy a little.
