2 Months Old

Today Cole is 2 months old. Sometimes it seems like a blurr. It seems like yesterday I was holding that newborn in my arms and then I look at pictures of that time and I wonder how my baby boy could have been that tiny and that he's growing up so fast.

This morning was Cole's 2 month immunizations. During his appointment they weighed and measured him once again. He's up to a whopping 12 1/2 pounds and 22 3/4 inches long - so he really is growing and changing every day. His beautiful smiles are becoming more frequent and I was finally able to catch a couple on the camera. He's also sleeping 7 to 8 hours at night which makes mom and dad smile too!

My First Mother's Day

This Mother's Day my wonderful hubby let me have a nap while he fed Cole this afternoon. When I woke up, this is what I saw - my adorable little boy fast asleep on my adorable husband. Thanks Daddy and Cole for letting mommy get some much needed sleep.

7 Weeks

Cole is now 7 weeks old and growing like a weed. Its seems like we have to re-adjust his car seat every time we strap him in. Cole's favourite past times now include looking at the world from his bouncer chair, eating ... of course, and staring at the mobile above his swing.

His absolute favourite thing to stare at however, is the ceiling mounted light fixture in his bedroom which captivates his full attention during his late night feedings. We've affectionately named it "Lah" since that's what Cole seems to like to say when he is forced to distraction from its mesmerizing glow. That dimmer switch was well worth the money in both practicality and infant entertainment!
