6 Weeks

Yesterday Cole had his 6 week appointment with our doctor. For the first time Cole has been measured as being larger than his birth weight, tipping the scales (fully clothed, diaper & all) at ll pounds 2 ounces and measuring 22 1/2 inches. Other than a bought of baby acne and a little cradle cap, our little man is perfectly healthy and obviously growing like a weed.

Yesterday night the gals from my caregroup threw Cole & I a church baby shower. Here are a few photos my friend Janine took of the big event.

5 Weeks Old

BIG YAWN

First time wearing anything other than a sleeper.

Cole is getting big so fast. He's already out grown a few onesies and for the first time yesterday, actually fit into a real pair of pants and a hoodie (even if we had to roll up all the cuffs). Some of the most exciting things are that he's focusing his eyes on things and looking around and just starting to give the rare sound of something other than a cry. All that in just one week!

Grandma Koudys has been visiting us for the last week and a half and left us yesterday morning. Cole loves Grandma very much and can't wait to see her again in June when we come to Ontario for National Assembly and visit to meet some of his long distance family members. We are also looking forward to both Grannie and Grampa Brown meeting their newest grandson in May. I hope all this popularity isn't going to Cole's head!
